Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan needed to move beyond mostly manual testing as it adopted Agile, DevOps, and a major legacy modernization effort. The company turned to Tricentis, evaluating tools and selecting Tricentis Tosca and Tricentis qTest to improve automation, test management, and keep quality from becoming a delivery bottleneck.

With Tricentis Tosca’s codeless, model-based automation and qTest’s Jira integration, BCBS Michigan trained more than 200 manual testers as automation engineers and standardized testing across teams. In one year, the team created 13,500 automated test cases, automated 40% of its regression test grid, reduced testing time and costs, and plans to expand regression automation to 70% while scaling testing to 38 applications.
