How an LMS Connected Piedmont Plastics’ Dispersed Workforce and Improved New Hire Productivity

Piedmont Plastics, a North American plastics distributor with 40 branches and 500 employees, struggled to deliver timely, consistent, and cost-effective training across a dispersed workforce. Before working with Tribridge, training was handled through classroom sessions and conference calls, creating downtime, travel costs, and delays; the company needed a better way to train employees and support development.

Tribridge implemented a learning management system using Cornerstone OnDemand, along with MindLeaders content and related integration/support services, and rebranded it as Piedmont Plastics’ LEAD system. The new approach centralized and standardized training, improved access to courses, and cut compliance training time from 90 days to 30 days, with a goal of 14 days, while also improving new-hire productivity and enabling future performance, succession, and cross-training initiatives.
