City of Charlotte Facilitates Tourism Planning Processes with Event Permitting Solution

The City of Charlotte needed to replace manual event permitting processes, especially with the influx of people expected for the 2012 Democratic National Convention. Working with Tribridge and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, the city looked for a cloud-based event permitting solution that could help staff manage applications, approvals, and event information more efficiently.

Tribridge implemented a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online-based solution connected to the city’s website and supported by Azure, enabling citizens to apply for permits online and automatically trigger approval workflows. The result was a major streamlining of permit intake and event management, a central repository for future reuse, and a platform the city planned to extend for permit payments and other government services such as code enforcement.
