Bookseller Opens New Horizons with Flexible, Easy-to-Use ERP Solution

Gumdrop Books, a U.S.-based bookseller and distributor with about 120 employees, needed to replace a heavily customized Epicor ERP system that could no longer keep up with changing business needs, large order volumes, and plans for new features like EDI and better web integration. The company turned to Tribridge and Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009, along with Microsoft Dynamics CRM for its sister company Mitinet, to start from a cleaner, more flexible foundation.

Tribridge helped implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV to manage order entry, fulfillment, inventory, warehouse operations, shipping, and accounting, while improving productivity through RoleTailored interfaces and integrations with tools like FedEx/UPS shipping and payment processing. The result was a more intuitive system that reduced the learning curve, sped up order processing, and gave Gumdrop Books better visibility for decision-making, while providing a scalable ERP platform that can support future growth and new business activities.
