A Flexible Foundation for CJIS Compliance for Polk County Sheriff’s Office

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, serving one of Florida’s largest counties, needed to simplify access across dozens of public safety applications while meeting FBI CJIS compliance requirements for unique IDs, strong passwords, and advanced authentication. Employees were struggling with many logins, and the agency needed a scalable single sign-on approach that could support current operations and future rollout across law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies. Tribridge helped the PCSO with Imprivata OneSign® and Tribridge S&I Services.

Tribridge implemented Imprivata OneSign® in a phased deployment, starting with IT and administrative users before expanding to deputies and additional county agencies, with two production appliances and one disaster recovery appliance. The solution streamlined access, enabled self-service password resets, and reduced helpdesk calls, while providing a flexible platform for CJIS compliance. It helped the PCSO enforce strong password policies and prepare for advanced authentication, ultimately supporting around 2,500 users across dozens of applications.
