A Tribepad Case Study

Efficient screening with Video Interviewing

The Royal Air Force faced a high-volume, specialist recruitment challenge—tens of thousands of applications a year for roles like Pilot, Air Traffic Controller and Engineer—where thorough assessment of attitudes and skills was essential and recruitment could take up to a year. To modernise and scale screening while reducing pressure on Armed Forces Careers Offices, the Royal Air Force worked with Tribepad to deploy its Video Interviewing solution (Tribepad VI).

Tribepad implemented a branded, psychologist-designed video interview process with features like “group questions” to preserve fairness and prevent question-sharing, allowing candidates to record remotely and assessors to filter efficiently. The Tribepad VI rollout cut interview time by 50%—typical processes shortened from about 6 weeks to 2–3 weeks—reducing time-to-hire, costs and resource wastage while improving flexibility for both candidates and assessors.
