Native Instruments Leverages GenAI for Smarter, More Intuitive Search and Discovery for Music Creators

Native Instruments, a leading music technology company, faced a challenge in improving the search and discovery of sounds within its extensive digital library. Its existing system lacked the ability to understand the social context and nuanced language used by music creators. To address this, Native Instruments partnered with the vendor Tribe AI to develop a GenAI strategy using Amazon Bedrock.

Tribe AI implemented a solution utilizing Anthropic's Claude 2 LLM and a CLAP model to power a new human-like chat interface. This allowed users to search with natural language and receive results that understood cultural references, like a band's sound. The engagement successfully delivered a functional prototype for A/B testing. Tribe AI enabled Native Instruments to rapidly ideate and test this new AI concept without diverting its internal team from other critical projects.
