AccuWeather embeds in 65,000 electric vehicles with TribalScale

AccuWeather needed a partner to transform their digital vision into a first-of-its-kind in-car weather app that was fully compliant with Android Automotive OS design and safety standards. They teamed up with TribalScale to design and build this driver-focused application for a Swedish electric vehicle brand.

TribalScale designed and built the application using AAOS-specific tools like Kotlin and the Android Car SDK. The result was a trusted, default weather app embedded in 65,000 electric vehicles in 2022, with projections to expand to 290,000 per year by 2025. TribalScale's work also led to an ongoing collaboration with Google to improve UX guidelines based on their implementation.
