Toyota Material Handling, a Dutch provider of forklifts and other internal transport solutions, needed a faster way to communicate with its 180 mechanics while reducing the workload on its support team. Previously relying on phone calls, the team struggled with time-consuming conversations and inefficient field coordination, especially as remote work became the norm during COVID-19.
To solve this, Toyota Material Handling switched to Trengo and moved mechanic communication from phone to WhatsApp, allowing the support team to collaborate, assign conversations, and @mention colleagues in one inbox. With Trengo, handling time for WhatsApp conversations dropped by 50%—from about an hour to 30 minutes on average—and daily phone calls were cut from around 200 to 100, helping the team deliver faster service with less workload.
