How self-service analytics help ARLANXEO to perform better analyses, optimize maintenance, increase environmental benefits and save operational costs

ARLANXEO, one of the world’s largest producers of synthetic rubber, was looking for ways to reduce costs, improve reliability, and lower energy consumption across a global network of production sites. The company also needed a software solution that could fit into a fragmented application landscape while helping teams make better use of operational data from its OSIsoft PI system. TrendMiner’s self-service industrial analytics platform was chosen for this effort.

TrendMiner implemented a gradual rollout starting with a pilot at one site, then expanding to additional sites and ultimately toward global deployment. Using TrendMiner, ARLANXEO’s engineers were able to find process cycles faster, create fingerprints for normal behavior, identify root causes of unplanned downtime, and support predictive maintenance. The results included reduced valve leakages, lower repair costs from avoiding corrosion, and less environmental impact through fewer spills, helping ARLANXEO cut costs and improve operational performance.
