Case Study: Vodafone achieves efficient cross-border threat detection and unified endpoint protection with Trend Micro Trend Vision One

A Trend Micro Case Study

Preview of the Vodafone Case Study

Trend Vision One enables efficient threat detection and investigation through seamless cross-border capabilities

Vodafone (represented by Cloud Cyber Security Tech Lead Mohamed Elnobi) ran a three–to–four‑month proof of concept to find a scalable, cloud-enabled solution that would improve cross‑border threat detection and investigation and support a managed security offering for customers—addressing gaps they saw with existing tools like Microsoft Defender and Cortex XDR and the need for rapid procurement and hybrid deployment visibility.

They tested Trend Vision One’s endpoint protection, XDR and Cloud One modules in a hybrid Azure/on‑prem setup; the platform’s ML agent, quarantine workflows and virtual patching stopped all tested malicious files and scripts at the endpoint, while the unified console and analytics gave clear topology and consolidated alerts for the SOC. Integration with a Linux service engine and easy administration were positives, and Vodafone rated scalability highly and stability 8/10, though agent installation could be smoother; overall they found the solution effective and recommended it.
