State Bank of India secures 275,000 endpoints with Trend Micro’s comprehensive security suite

State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest commercial bank with more than 26,000 branches and nearly 275,000 endpoints, faced growing regulatory and security pressures as it expanded and consolidated operations—many branches are remote with unreliable connectivity. The bank needed a scalable, enterprise-class “Connected Threat Defense” that could detect and block threats across endpoints, networks and data centers while meeting global compliance requirements.

Trend Micro deployed a multi-layered suite—Deep Security for servers, OfficeScan for endpoints and ScanMail for IBM Domino—providing centralized management, virtual patching and 360° visibility. The solution delivered early threat detection, simplified security operations and higher compliance, achieving a 99% update ratio, minimal downtime, reduced risk and costs, and improved operational efficiency across SBI’s nearly 275,000 endpoints.
