Bandhan Bank, a Kolkata-based bank with over 4,000 touchpoints and 13 million customers, faced growing security challenges across endpoints, networks, and its data center. Its legacy antivirus couldn’t keep up with frequent malware, ransomware and zero‑day attacks, left the IT team with limited visibility and an overburdened help desk, and created gaps in protection that threatened operations and customer service.
To close those gaps the bank deployed Trend Micro OfficeScan, Deep Discovery Inspector and Deep Discovery Analyzer (managed via Control Manager), rolling out 7,000 endpoint units and network sandboxing across the environment. The integrated solution uses machine learning, custom sandboxing and centralized threat intelligence to detect targeted and unknown threats, delivering comprehensive protection, a 90–95% increase in uptime, faster detection and response, and reduced help‑desk volume with minimal operational impact.
