Mosaic Medical gains granular visibility, access control, and security with Trend Micro InterScan Web Security as a Service

Mosaic Medical is a nonprofit community health center in central Oregon with nine clinics, about 230 employees and a distributed Citrix/Epic virtualized environment. As the network grew, IT needed user-based web controls (not machine-based), stricter limits on streaming and social media to protect bandwidth and productivity, the ability to block dangerous links in spam, and more granular, reliable reporting and visibility into individual web activity.

Mosaic deployed Trend Micro InterScan Web Security as a Service, a cloud gateway that enforces user-specific policies via Active Directory, inspects HTTPS traffic, and blocks malicious URLs before they reach endpoints. The rollout gave them granular control (13 custom rules so far), consistent policy enforcement on laptops off-network, reduced bandwidth use and improved productivity, easier remote management with predictable subscription pricing, and responsive vendor support during deployment.
