Gains improved visibility and centralised management for its endpoints

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), India’s largest government-owned power-generation equipment manufacturer, operated across 35 locations with more than 23,000 endpoints but lacked a unified security posture because each business unit managed its own endpoint procurement. This distributed architecture left the company vulnerable and without centralized visibility or consistent policy enforcement.

Partnering with CMS IT Services, BHEL implemented Trend Micro Endpoint Security, OfficeScan and Control Manager in phases, consolidating protection under a single console and integrating it into a centralized SOC. The rollout delivered multilayered anti-malware protection, unified, user-based visibility across all locations, reduced management servers to six, and produced cost savings and optimized IT resources.
