Fischer Homes, the 31st largest U.S. home builder with about 900 employees, faced growing cybersecurity challenges as it expanded: human error, rising zero‑day threats, and limited visibility into east‑west network traffic and unmanaged assets. A 2020 zero‑day exploit—aggravated by a third‑party misconfiguration—exposed gaps in their defenses and drove the company to strengthen its security posture.

Fischer implemented Trend Vision One (with XDR), Trend Micro Cloud App Security and Cloud Security, plus managed detection and response, to centralize visibility, automate scanning/detection, and manage attack surface risk (including geofiltering).
