Calvià City Council Shields its Email Infrastructure and Collaboration Tools with Trend Micro Solutions

Calvià City Council, the municipal administration on Mallorca serving some 52,000 residents and many annual visitors, faced rising email-based cyber threats as it moved services and collaboration to Google Workspace. With email previously unprotected, the council used NextGenerationEU recovery funds (EUR 192,366.58) to modernize and secure its communication infrastructure.

The council selected Trend Micro with partner SATEC and deployed Trend Vision One – Email and Collaboration Security across more than 1,000 licenses, gaining real-time file analysis, data-loss prevention, and centralized visibility with unified detection and response. The solution reduced spam and phishing volumes, improved incident investigation and risk management, and saved technical-team time while maintaining operational efficiency.
