Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization (BIDCO) is a value-based physician and hospital network and Accountable Care Organization serving more than 2,500 clinicians across seven hospitals. Faced with strict state and federal compliance requirements and the challenge of protecting patient data across a VMware-based private cloud, a central data center and 100+ physician practice sites, BIDCO needed a scalable, real-time security solution to secure virtual and physical systems, support EHRs, and deliver actionable analytics to troubleshoot performance issues.

BIDCO deployed Trend Micro Deep Security (migrating from agent-based to an agentless virtual appliance) alongside OfficeScan and Endpoint Encryption, and built a log-aggregation dashboard to monitor PCP activity and fast-track problem resolution. The solution improved visibility and compliance, protected physical, virtual and private cloud environments, reduced management overhead and costs by eliminating agents and automating security tasks, and enabled faster, data-driven support for physician practices.
