Merci Charity Association completes 7 mobile dental campaigns faster with Tremend

Merci Charity Association, a non-profit pioneering mobile healthcare in Romania, faced a significant challenge as its dentists operated without internet access in remote areas. This forced them to rely on time-consuming paper records, which risked data loss and required manual double-entry. Partnering with Tremend, the association sought a digital solution to streamline this data collection process for their mobile dental clinics.

Tremend developed an Android mobile app called ACUMM that allowed dentists to record patient data offline and sync it to servers once internet was available. This solution saved doctors a considerable amount of time, enabling them to complete seven dental campaigns in poor Romanian villages faster and with the assurance of secure data storage. The project, enabled by Tremend, was recognized as an innovation in mobile medicine, winning first place in a gala held by the Civic Romanian Institute and raising awareness for dental care needs in rural areas.
