Ways Tours, the parent brand of Veronality, faced a severe collapse in demand in 2020, losing about 85% to 90% of its normal bookings as the pandemic hit Italy and international travel dried up. To survive, the company needed to rethink its product mix and find new ways to generate revenue, while adapting to rapidly changing traveler behavior.

Using TrekkSoft, Ways Tours launched virtual tours, created new online cooking and wine experiences, and later built WineTicket.it with TrekkSoft’s website builder and voucher-based booking setup. TrekkSoft helped them quickly go live with a new booking flow, cross-sell products, and support a new self-guided wine ticket model that opened an additional income stream through referral fees and stronger partner demand, even as the company experimented with pricing and smaller group sizes to improve profitability.
