Bologna Welcome, the destination management company for Bologna, Italy, needed a better way to connect a fragmented network of tour suppliers, improve online visibility, and make it easier for visitors to book experiences across the city. They turned to TrekkSoft’s booking tools to help unify sales across their destination website, partner channels, and in-person visitor points.
TrekkSoft implemented Managed Merchant accounts, the Partner Network, Experience Bank channel management, a booking widget, and POS desks to centralize inventory and enable seamless cross-selling and checkout. The results included nearly 40 new tours, activities, and museum tickets added online, sales across five major tourist points accounting for 48% of all in-destination bookings, and a 100% reduction in supplier fragmentation with no overbooking issues.
