The major CPG firm faced the challenge of needing to manually and inaccurately estimate the cost and redemption rates for its coupons on a bi-annual basis. Tredence was engaged to develop a data-driven solution to help the client's marketing and finance managers make better-informed budgetary decisions.
Tredence implemented a solution built on Azure data architecture to automate data extraction. They utilized multiple forecasting techniques based on coupon parameters and delivered the insights through PowerBI. This provided the client with a coupon simulator to optimize spends and a detailed reporting interface. The solution drastically reduced data extraction time from 800 to under 100 hours per year and achieved a 94% forecast accuracy for in-flight coupons and 80% for out-of-box coupons.
