Case Study: a large US retailer improves app user migration planning with Tredence forecasting

A Tredence Case Study

Preview of the Large US Retailer Case Study

Large US Retailer - Customer Case Study

The large US retailer faced a challenge while planning to launch a new consolidated app, as its marketing managers were uncertain about the required level of effort to migrate their existing user base. To help plan the marketing budget and set goals for the FY21 migration, the retailer partnered with Tredence to forecast the number of installs for the new application.

Tredence developed a multi-channel forecasting methodology using FB Prophet for organic installs, a Markov model for owned installs, and regression techniques to predict paid installs based on marketing spend. This solution enabled the client to identify potential shortfalls and optimize budget allocation. As a result, Tredence helped the retailer enhance its marketing efforts by 30%, ensuring a successful migration of all existing users to the new app portal.
