Case Study: Fugro achieves real-time global cash visibility and straight-through processing with TIS (Treasury Intelligence Solutions)

More transparency thanks to straight-through processing

Fugro, an international geophysics and geotechnics company, faced fragmented, decentralized payment processes across roughly 50 local ERP systems and multiple e-banking tools that left central treasury without timely visibility or control. To solve this, Fugro engaged TIS (Treasury Intelligence Solutions) and deployed its cloud-based SaaS payments platform—using modules such as Bank Transaction Manager, Bank Account Manager and Bank Statement Manager—to centralize payments and enable straight-through processing.

TIS (Treasury Intelligence Solutions) implemented the platform with host-to-host/SWIFT/EBICS bank connectivity and automated MT940 statement collection, integrating ERP flows into a single dashboard for group-wide liquidity visibility. The outcome: real-time oversight of worldwide payments, reduced IT and ERP maintenance, consolidation of many bank connections (of almost 50 banks and more than 900 accounts, around half the banks were targeted for reduction), measurable time savings (two full-time roles redeployed in one region) and lower bank transaction/account fees.
