Case Study: Kansas City International Airport achieves connected restroom operations from day one with TRAX Analytics

A TRAX Analytics Case Study

Kansas City International Airport opens $1.5B terminal with TRAX Analytics

Kansas City International Airport undertook a $1.5 billion new terminal build and faced the challenge of ensuring its restrooms met the high expectations of modern travelers. The airport needed to move beyond conventional cleaning to a data-driven approach, requiring a solution that integrated passenger-facing information with operational cleaning data. They partnered with TRAX Analytics to implement its SmartRestroom technology from the beginning of the design-build project.

TRAX Analytics implemented a fully connected solution including stall occupancy monitoring, connected dispensers, digital signage, and passenger feedback systems. Frontline staff use iPads with the Clean+Inspect app to receive precise alerts and record tasks. The result is a superior passenger experience where people are directed to available facilities, stock-outs are prevented, and cleaning is driven by real-time data. The new terminal opened with this system in place, and all performance data is held within the TRAX platform for ongoing review.
