Ostello di Bergamo, a historic hostel in Bergamo, faced declining online reputation, falling turnover, and outdated digital channels after a management change in 2016. With low scores on Booking.com, TripAdvisor, and Hostelworld, plus no structured social media management and an inefficient booking setup, the team needed a clear starting point. With Travel Appeal, Ostello di Bergamo used review and sentiment insights to improve the guest experience and prioritize fixes such as breakfast, Wi‑Fi, and room electrical issues, while also strengthening online communication and reputation management. The results included higher ratings across major platforms—Booking.com rose from 7.3 to 8.1, Hostelworld from 7.6 to 8.0, and TripAdvisor from 3/5 to 3.5/5—plus a jump in Bergamo ranking from 40th of 60 to 6th of 62 accommodations.
