North Carolina Department of Transportation needed a statewide way to standardize fleet maintenance and enterprise asset management for public transportation agencies, especially smaller rural transit operators. Trapeze Group, using its Trapeze EAM solution (formerly FleetFocus), was brought in to support a shared, hosted maintenance management platform that could also handle DOT and FTA reporting.

Trapeze Group implemented the solution in phased geographic rollouts, providing hosting, training, and setup services under the existing contract. The result was a single standard fleet maintenance system for North Carolina, with 76 agencies now using Trapeze EAM to manage fleet assets, reporting, and day-to-day maintenance; agencies across the state can also join through the same contract and choose either hosted or internal deployment.
