A Trapeze Group Case Study
Kiwanis Transit, a demand-response paratransit provider operating under Grand River Transit in southwestern Ontario, needed a replacement for its aging custom scheduling system after the original vendor stopped supporting it. As a small agency serving three rural townships with six vehicles, Kiwanis Transit wanted a proven solution with automated scheduling, batch processing, manual adjustments, detailed client history, and flexible reporting.
Trapeze Group implemented its browser-based NOVUS-DRM paratransit software to help Kiwanis Transit plan, manage, and dispatch service more efficiently. The system increased vehicle utilization, reduced outsourced taxi trips, and improved reporting for stakeholders across the three municipalities, saving the agency about $1,500 per month, or $18,000 annually, in taxi fees.
