The City of Edmonton’s Edmonton Transit System (ETS) needed to modernize its DATS paratransit operation as demand grew to about 3,500 trips per weekday. To keep service quality high without increasing budget, ETS turned to Trapeze Group and its demand-response software, including PASS tools for scheduling, dispatching, booking, and customer management.

Trapeze Group implemented an end-to-end paratransit management solution that included trip booking, workforce and yard management, complaints/incident tracking, mobile data integration, ViewPoint business intelligence, IVR reminders, and web booking. The results were strong: Edmonton Transit System cut overtime by $500,000 and wages by $1.2 million over two years, increased trip delivery by 9,000 trips, and maintained a 94% customer satisfaction rate.
