Hachette Book Group improves OTC performance and cuts maintenance time with Trantor

Hachette Book Group (HBG), a leading US trade publisher and division of a global publishing company, wanted to modernize the user interface of its Order-to-Cash (OTC) portal. The client sought a faster, more intuitive UI for the portal's major screens and required the development of new business logic while moving existing processes to a new middle tier. They engaged the vendor, Trantor, to undertake this re-engineering.

Trantor re-engineered the entire OTC portal, redesigning the data entry UI and developing new REST APIs on the Java platform using Spring Boot, which were consumed through an Angular front-end. The solution improved UI/UX and system performance significantly. As a result, Hachette Book Group achieved reduced maintenance time and cost. Trantor's upgrade provided a modern, service-oriented architecture that met the client's goals.
