Transwide warrants success of new model for road transport management

Norske Skog Golbey, part of the Norske Skog group, runs a high‑volume paper mill in Eastern France that handles about one million tonnes of incoming raw materials and 600,000 tonnes of newsprint outbound each year—more than 200 truck movements daily. Faced with congestion, complex information flows and the decision to outsource operational road transport to partner Cetrama, Norske Skog selected Transwide’s on‑demand TMS to bring real‑time coordination, visibility and control to its transport operations.

Transwide implemented a modular SaaS solution (twCall‑off, twSlot and twTrace) fully integrated with Norske Skog’s SAP ERP to automate order communication, online slot scheduling and delivery tracking for 30 carriers. The Transwide rollout centralized data, eliminated paper processes and automated ~200 daily transport orders, cutting planning and execution time by about 65% (from 157 to 52 hours/week) and delivering a 99% customer punctuality satisfaction rate while decongesting the site and improving carrier communication.
