Asahi UK faced rapidly growing inbound transport volumes that strained a small transport-planning team, relying on phone, fax and spreadsheets with little visibility and manual, error-prone processes. To automate planning, improve transparency and scale without adding headcount, Asahi UK selected Transwide and deployed the Transwide TMS.
Transwide implemented its SaaS TMS—including twCall-off, twTrace and twSlot—integrated with Asahi’s SAP and onboarded carriers to a single web platform with event alerts (twControl) and reporting (twData). The result was a 50% reduction in internal processing time, about €150,000 annual savings and an ROI within two months, higher on-time delivery and customer service scores, and ongoing improvements (including a target to cut unloading turn times from three hours to forty minutes) using Transwide.
