Capita migrates 25TB of legacy email archives to Microsoft Office 365 with TransVault

Capita, a leading UK provider of business process management and outsourcing solutions, faced the challenge of migrating 25TB of legacy email archives from an on-premise Autonomy EAS system into Microsoft Office 365. As part of its strategy to modernize communications, Capita needed a high-speed solution to handle the complex migration without delaying its overall move to the cloud. They partnered with vendor TransVault and its product, Transvault Sprint, to achieve this.

TransVault, implemented by partner Essential Computing, provided a flexible and high-speed migration solution. The project successfully synchronized the archive migration with the live mailbox moves, overcoming complexity through custom scripting. The result was a seamless transition that eliminated the costs of maintaining the legacy archive, provided users with a familiar Outlook interface, and gave Capita confidence in the speed and reliability of their new cloud service.
