Baylor College of Medicine migrates 40TB and 15,000 users with TransVault

Baylor College of Medicine, a leading US college of medicine, faced the challenge of migrating its on-premises email archive to Microsoft Office 365 while maintaining strict HIPAA and FERPA compliance. With a costly and limited on-premises storage system and a poor-performing archive search tool, they needed a secure and efficient solution. They partnered with vendor TransVault and used its Transvault Migrator product to perform the migration.

TransVault, working with partner US-Amplify, successfully migrated 40TBs of data for 15,000 users. The solution provided the required security and chain-of-custody, and the implementation of TransVault's CloudStream technology dramatically increased migration performance from 3 million to 13 million messages per week. The project was completed with minimal user disruption, resulting in a highly satisfied customer and a successful, compliant cloud migration.
