Credit Union of Colorado Worked With TransUnion to Launch a Successful Auto Recapture Campaign, Doubling Monthly Loan Volume

Credit Union of Colorado, a credit union with 17 branches and more than 130,000 members, wanted to launch an auto recapture campaign to help members lower their monthly payments while also growing auto loan market share. The team needed help identifying the right members to target and determining the best rates to offer, so they partnered with TransUnion and used trended credit data to guide the campaign.

TransUnion recommended CreditVision income and APR estimator data to tailor offers based on members’ financial profiles, with no additional technical integrations required. The campaign reached 2,500 members and produced a 20% open rate and 6% response rate on the initial email, leading to more than $3.4 million in auto refinances in 45 days, nearly double the credit union’s typical monthly volume, plus a 44% increase in average loan amount financed.
