National Express West Midlands sought to enhance its mobile real-time information (RTI) system after user feedback indicated a desire for richer features beyond simple stop departures. The challenge was to integrate live bus movements on a map and provide departures for multiple stops simultaneously. They partnered with TransportAPI to define requirements and scope the project.

TransportAPI developed a robust infrastructure to ingest live SIRI-VM data feeds and cross-reference them with schedule data. This allowed their endpoints to serve comprehensive information, including real-time bus locations and multi-stop departures.
