Case Study: CAI Logistics reduces manual data entry and improves shipment visibility with Transporeon

A Transporeon Case Study

Preview of the CAI Logistics Case Study

EDI connectivity reduces manual data entry for CAI Logistics

CAI Logistics, a division of CAI International, Inc., is a leading provider of intermodal, highway, and international shipping services. The company needed a better way to manage pickup appointments and delivery scheduling for a major steel supplier, as its existing TMS limited visibility to about one week ahead, restricted access to historical shipment data, and required frequent manual entry of delivery details.

Transporeon provided EDI connectivity and a more user-friendly platform that let CAI Logistics automatically accept shipments for certain mills, view appointments up to one month in advance, and filter historical data more easily. With Transporeon, CAI Logistics reduced manual data entry, streamlined appointment and dock scheduling, improved internal reporting, and gained greater transparency and control over shipment history.
