Ontex, the global producer of disposable hygiene products, needed a transport platform that could keep up with its fast growth, growing requirements, and complex network of palletized shipments across Europe. The company also wanted better visibility, smoother communication with carriers and customers, and more effective handling of rates, surcharges, and time-slot bookings.

Transporeon provided Ontex with its web-based transport platform, including Rate Management, Time Slot Management, Surcharge Management, Multi-booking, and Light Login for ex-works shipments. The implementation was rolled out across 21 locations with a “big bang” go-live, and now handles about 55,000 shipments per year with over 60 users and 91 linked carriers. With Transporeon, Ontex reduced manual work and errors, improved visibility and control over extra charges, and made shipment allocation and planning more efficient.
