ArcelorMittal Hamburg, part of the world's largest steel group, faced significant logistics challenges common to the steel industry, including high throughput times, short-term orders, and communication difficulties with truck drivers. To address these issues, the company partnered with vendor Transporeon Group to implement its Transportation Management Platform alongside Peripass yard management.

The solution implemented by Transporeon involved digitizing logistics processes and integrating its Time Slot Management with the Peripass system. This synergy resulted in a lead time from truck registration to exit being reduced to below 90 minutes and saved up to 460 working hours per year. Transporeon's solution also provided better loading planning and improved communication, streamlining operations significantly.
