Optimized Transportation Network Leads to Significant Cost and Efficiency Gains for Global Food Company

Global Food Company, a family-owned global food company producing baking goods, dessert mixes, pizzas, and food service products in 40 countries, needed to optimize its newly expanded North American transportation network after acquiring a competitor’s frozen pizza business. To improve visibility into transportation operations and spend, the company partnered with Transplace and looked to establish pre- and post-acquisition baselines for its supply chain.

Transplace worked with Global Food Company to map the pre-acquisition network, build a post-acquisition baseline, and evaluate transportation and warehousing costs across Canada and the U.S. By combining deep Canadian market expertise with transportation management capabilities, Transplace helped the company implement a more efficient and cost-effective warehousing and shipping strategy, resulting in significant cost and efficiency gains.
