Eaton, a global power management company, needed to improve the visibility and speed of its complex supply chain to meet demanding delivery timelines, particularly for a key component shipping 3,000 miles from Mexico. To address this challenge, Eaton turned to the vendor Transplace to leverage its cross-border expertise and its Public Tracking Portal (PTP) for real-time, end-to-end freight visibility.

Transplace implemented its PTP solution, a web-based track-and-trace tool integrated with its Transportation Management System, to provide Eaton’s internal teams and external customers with self-service, real-time shipment status updates. This solution reduced a six-step communication process to a single step and empowered customers with 24/7 access. Partnering with Transplace allowed Eaton to elevate the customer experience, improve forecasting with AI-driven risk prediction, and optimize supply chain efficiencies through cross-docking and LTL pooling, all while better managing costs across its $9+ billion in freight under management.
