Nestle, the world’s largest food and beverage company, needed to add Spanish to its U.S. packaging across more than 1,200 SKUs to reach the growing Hispanic market. With independent internal divisions, varied regulatory requirements, and in-house typesetting/graphics, Nestle engaged TransPerfect to coordinate bilingual packaging localization and translation services.
TransPerfect researched relevant FDA requirements, created end-to-end guidelines, a customized communication plan with dedicated points of contact, and a master Spanish glossary, and provided translations plus proofreading of final packaging mechanicals. As a result, TransPerfect helped Nestle implement standardized translation and bilingual packaging procedures that ensured regulatory compliance and consistent branding across its product lines.
