American Heart Association - Customer Case Study

The American Heart Association (AHA), a national voluntary health agency that publishes the Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care, needed to translate a large volume of multimedia training materials into nine languages for use in 33 countries while maintaining consistent terminology, organized content, and supporting ongoing revisions. To meet these challenges AHA engaged TransPerfect, which brought language services, Media Services (DVD production, voiceover and subtitling), and CAT tools to the project.

TransPerfect implemented a customized workflow that aligned previous translations with CAT tools, created a glossary for terminology consistency, used in‑country linguists for localization, and addressed typesetting and multimedia authoring (voiceover, subtitling, graphic editing, DVD authoring). As a result, AHA’s materials were delivered in nine languages for deployment across 33 countries in a timely, cost‑effective manner, and TransPerfect remains a preferred provider continuing to support AHA’s global communications.
