Case Study: RTÉ achieves greater efficiency and savings with TransMedia Dynamics Mediaflex

RTÉ, Ireland’s national broadcaster, wanted to move from a tape-based, labour-intensive workflow to a modern file-based architecture that could support HD production, multiple platforms, and easier archive access. To do this, RTÉ selected **TransMedia Dynamics** and its **Mediaflex** asset management platform, which also needed to act as a flexible workflow engine.

**TransMedia Dynamics** implemented Mediaflex as part of the FAST project, including a pilot “vanilla” installation with five workstations to prove concepts, involve users in workflow design, and reduce implementation risk. The solution now supports automated processes such as promo creation, compliance viewing, quality control, transcoding, delivery, and ingest, while also providing business analytics and a continuing environment for testing and training. RTÉ reported estimated savings of **€350k in the first year** and **€450k in subsequent years**.
