Workforce Development Board Mid-Ohio Valley - Customer Case Study

The Workforce Development Board Mid-Ohio Valley (WDB-MOV) sought to build classroom-to-career pathways and expand career exploration opportunities for students and job seekers in its nine-county region. To address this challenge, the board partnered with Transfr to leverage its virtual reality simulations for hands-on training and career exploration without the need for specialized, expensive equipment.

By implementing Transfr's VR simulations, WDB-MOV was able to engage a wide audience through its programs and a dedicated CTE Explore Camp. The solution from Transfr empowered 1,468 distinct users to complete over 4,173 simulations. The camp was particularly successful, exceeding its attendance goals and resulting in 21% of participating students reporting that their career plans had changed after using the VR experiences.
