West Alabama Works Uses VR for Career Exploration

West Alabama Works, a local workforce development board, sought to address the gap in career pathways for students and increase enrollment in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. They partnered with Transfr to utilize its virtual reality Career Exploration Facility, aiming to provide middle and high school students with immersive experiences to discover well-paying, high-growth careers in their local area.

Transfr implemented its VR simulations to allow students to explore various trades in an engaging way. This solution empowered students to make more informed decisions about their futures. As a direct result of using Transfr's technology, career exploration was provided to 1,100 students and CTE program enrollment saw a significant 18% increase, creating a stronger pipeline of qualified future workers for local industries.
