Savannah Technical College Augments Manufacturing Program with Transfr

Savannah Technical College sought to improve its Fast Track Manufacturing program, which was struggling to engage students and lead them to further education or manufacturing careers using traditional teaching methods. To address this challenge, the college partnered with the vendor Transfr to integrate its hands-on training simulations into the curriculum.

Transfr worked with the college to redesign the program, aligning it with local industry needs through immersive simulations. This new approach led to immediate success; the first cohort of seven students saw four continue their education at the college, while the others secured jobs in manufacturing. The program's positive results prompted Savannah Tech to expand its partnership with Transfr into two additional grant-funded initiatives aimed at community colleges and incarcerated individuals, significantly broadening its impact.
