Ohio Means Jobs Broadens Horizons for Job Seekers with VR

OhioMeansJobs Area 15 helps students and job seekers across four counties build career pathways but found it challenging to give them hands-on experience with various occupations without access to specialized equipment or facilities. Partnering with Transfr, they utilized VR simulations to provide immersive career exploration and skills training to overcome these barriers.

Transfr's solution provided portable VR headsets that allowed the OhioMeansJobs team to bring career exploration directly to their offices and numerous community events. This partnership served over 1,000 users who completed more than 2,160 simulations, successfully broadening horizons and building job readiness skills for a diverse group of seekers and students.
