NCCER + Transfr VR Training Pilot Shows Measurable Improvement in Student Outcomes

Associated Builders and Contractors of Illinois partnered with Transfr to explore if virtual reality could improve student engagement and performance in construction trades training compared to traditional methods alone.

Transfr provided VR simulations for tasks like circular saw and electric drill training. The solution delivered significantly better outcomes: the VR group's average test score was 17.67 compared to 13.46 for the traditional group, and their assessment score was 75% versus 53.46%. Furthermore, 100% of VR students completed their evaluation and secured jobs post-training, compared to a 69% rate for the control group.
