After-School All-Stars Revolutionizes Career Exploration with Transfr

After-School All-Stars (ASAS) sought a way to revolutionize career exploration and readiness within its after-school programs. Their challenge was to provide students with engaging, hands-on exposure to various career paths to help them develop essential soft skills and prepare for the workforce. To address this, ASAS partnered with Transfr to implement its VR Career Exploration library and skills learning platform as a core component of its new initiative.

Transfr’s solution provided students with immersive virtual reality simulations that allowed them to experience careers firsthand in fields like robotics, hospitality, and emergency services. This was supplemented by curriculum guidance from program leaders. The results were highly positive, with high student engagement and administrators praising the technology as the future of career readiness. Measurably, across four chapters, hundreds of students completed thousands of simulations, with the Cleveland chapter alone seeing over 270 users complete nearly 400 modules.
